Craziest fish story?

Not sure it’s crazy but certainly the most important fish story. I caught a four-pounder at the 2015 Potomac River FLW Tour event on my last cast. Without that fish, I wouldn’t have qualified for the Forrest Wood Cup. I went on to win the Cup and $500,000.

Who got you into fishing?

Nobody in my family really fished, but I could generally con my dad into taking me to ponds as a kid. That planted the seed for sure.

Where do you wish you were right now?

Somewhere that’s warm and they’re biting!

Dream job if you weren't fishing?

College football coach, it’s the only job I can think of where you get paid millions of dollars to get fired from your job...

Least favorite part of your job?

The business side of things.

What makes a good fisherman?

Drive and work ethic. Even if you’re not the most naturally gifted angler, you can make up for that with determination.

Bigtime University of Tennessee sports fan.
